GRANT GUIDELINES

The Miller Park Stadium District Community Program, Inc. (Community Program) supports projects and programs that serve to enhance the goals of the Program including providing internships, customized job training, capacity building or any similar creative activities which will increase the pool of women and minorities in the building industry and trades as well as developing and building disadvantaged businesses in Southeast Wisconsin.  The Community Program will consider providing grants to organizations that creatively focus on furthering the goals of the Community Program.

 QUALIFICATION

  • An organization in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service and designated as a 501(c)(3).
  • An organization located in the counties of either Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee, Washington or Racine (the "District") and providing services to residents of the District.  
  • Has a record of outstanding service in effectively and efficiently delivering programs and services that further the mission of the Community Program.
  • Ensures that 100% of the grant funding is used for purposes outlined in the grant request.
  • Demonstrates additional financial support from sources other than the Community Program.

Prior to submitting a complete application, applicants should submit a letter of inquiry (no more than two (2) pages in length) describing the project for which funding is sought. The letter of inquiry should provide a brief description of the organization seeking support and appropriate contact information. A concise description of the project should be provided including, but not limited to, the following: description of population served, proposed budget and funding sources, amount raised to date, amount being sought from the Community Program, and timing of the project (including start, completion and funding deadlines). The Community Program Board will accept letters of inquiry throughout the year however grant awards will be considered semi-annually in June and November.  The Community Program will make grant awards in amounts up to $10,000 annually.  The review process reflects the mission, priorities, policies and financial position of the Community Program. Applicants may be asked to meet with the Community Program Board to provide further information regarding their application. If a letter of inquiry receives preliminary approval, the applicant will be asked to submit a detailed grant application that includes additional information primarily focusing on budget information and project/program timing. Funding over the term of the project is contingent on the applicant continuing to make satisfactory progress and providing periodic accountability. It is further understood that the recipient of funding will acknowledge Community Program support in appropriate promotional efforts to be agreed upon in advance of the grant.

 DETAILED GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Grant applications (no more than three (3) pages in length) should include the following:

Organization name, name and title of person submitting application, name of Executive Director or CEO, date of submission, address, phone number, fax number and email address.

  1. Amount of funding requested and specifics on how these funds would be used.
  2. Description of how the program will further the goals of the Community Program including a listing of the number of individuals and/or businesses who will benefit.
  3. Listing of other foundation/community and business financial support for requested program.
  4. Most recent audit for the organization requesting funds and list of board of directors and their business and professional positions.
